I went to some other websites to find a picture I could zoom in on, and that helped me get a better idea about the cover. The blue is almost a royal blue, and the red is definitely red. That being said, I really like the colors in person, though they're hard to see accurately in any pictures online. The cover is soft, silky smooth, and handsome overall. Made in Pakistan.The shams have cheap plastic zipper closures that I thought might break the first time I tried to zip the shams shut -- you know, the flimsy kind that gets stuck even when there's nothing to catch on. (They didn't break, happily.) The duvet cover has NO TIES to attach to your insert. I know, safety pins are a good alternative -- or, I could sew some in myself. But seriously, can't Tommy spend another dollar and put a few pieces of... I bought some sheets from amazon before and wasn't impressed, so I was hesitant to purchase other bedding items on here. This duvet is much richer looking in person and had a nice sheen to the cotton. The colors are very pretty, not overwhelming, but not subdued, either. The print doesn't strike me as "safari" but regardless, I think it is a wonderfully detailed paisley style print. I was very impressed by this duvet and feel that for the price it is well worth the purchase. I have not washed it yet, but don't anticipate any problems. |
